The Crookston Figure Skating Club will host Summer Fun Night on Wednesday, June 12, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. This will be the club’s first year hosting this event.
All figure skaters from the skating club are welcome to attend the event and can bring friends or family. The Summer Fun Night will also be free of charge for all who attend.
“We are just hosting a Summer Fun Night for all of our skaters out at the turf at the CSC (Crookston Sports Center). To get all of our skaters back together and have some fun,” The Crookston Figure Skating Club Director, Katie (Engelstad) Morgan. “We are going to play some tag-like games and get some dodgeballs from Park and Rec; we have a parachute that we are going to bring with us, we will have corn hole boards, and once we are done playing, we are going to have some pizza and drinks. Just hang out and have some fun.”
Engelstad also mentioned that the figure skating club will try to host another event in July. Then, in August, the Club will announce the theme of its 2025 Ice Show at the Ox Cart Days Parade. “We will go to the Night to Unite in August as well just to let the community know we are out there and meet any little girls/boys that wanted to come to join figure skating and kind of get our faces out there,” said Katie Morgan.
