A mischievous foster kitten was rescued by Crookston firefighters on Wednesday after it climbed up a large cottonwood tree.
The Broten family had an exciting morning when their foster kitten, Mila, bolted out the door as they were leaving for school. She scaled the huge cottonwood tree in the front yard and was then too afraid to come back down.
Mila’s foster mom, Michelle, called the fire department, which came to Mila’s rescue. Firefighter Brian Hanson climbed up to retrieve Mila, with assistance from firefighter Allan Graff.
Sweet Mila is currently up for adoption along with her sister from Linus’s Legacy. She’s definitely an adventure cat, and she’s not afraid of water either. Anyone interested in foster or adoption should contact Linus’s Legacy. Thank you so much to our Crookston firefighters for coming to save her!
