The Crookston Pirate Baseball team was seeded eighth in the North Sub-Section of Section 8AA today and they will open the Section Tournament on Tuesday against Bagley in a game played in East Grand Forks. Since their are nine teams in the North Sub-Section, there has to be a play-in game between the nine and eight seed and it is to be played at the number one seed, East Grand Forks. After the 4:00 PM play-in game, the winner, either Crookston or Bagley will then play the number one seed in the North, East Grand Forks about 6:00 PM. All other first round games in both the North and South Sub-Sections will be played at 5:00 PM on Tuesday with Perham being the number one seed in the South.
Crookston has played Bagley once this season and it was the first game of the season with the Pirates winning 15-0 in a game in which three Crookston pitchers threw a no hit game. Since that time, Bagley has been 4-10 and currently 4-11 on the season while the Pirates are 2-11 since that time, playing only 14 games on the season and are 3-11. If Crookston should win they would play East Grand Forks who have beaten Crookston twice just a week ago 18-2 and 9-3. The final seeds were:
