The Crookston Pirate Clay Target team wrapped up the first week of competition and is in sixth place in the Class 4A Conference five standings after shooting a 1,658. Annandale had an impressive first week total of 3,002.50, which is 790 better than second-place Ada-Borup-West. “We had a good week of shooting for our first week of competition. Our practice weeks were a little hard with the weather, but they all worked hard,” said Pirate Coach Randy Prudhomme. “It is great to see that almost half of all the shooters are starting the competition weeks with a varsity-level average. It was also great to see our new shooters put up double-digit scores.“
Crookston’s Evan Boucher had a great first week of competition as he turned in two perfect rounds by hitting 25 shots in a row two times. ” It was exciting to see him shoot and to feel his excitement not only after the 1st perfect 25 but also during and after the second one,” said Coach Prudhomme.
