CROOKSTON PIRATE GIRLS GOLF COMPETES AT EAST GRAND FORKS JV INVITE

Some of the Crookston Pirate Girl’s golf team members got the chance to compete this afternoon at a JV meet held at Valley Golf Course in East Grand Forks. Due to the recent precipitation, the meet was only 9 holes and held on only the front 9 of the course. The three teams competing were the Pirates, East Grand Forks, and Thief River Falls. Thief River Falls had only three golfers participate and had a team score of 191, Crookston recorded a 218 with their top four scorers, and East Grand Forks carded a 232.

Leading the way for Crookston and taking second place individually was Kaylie Clauson with a 52. Right behind her and earning third place individually was Lucy Smith with a solid 53. The other two scores the Pirates took were from Emelia Hoerner who carded a 55, and Paige Abrahamson who turned in a 58.

Crookston also had five other golfers participating. Brekken Tull and Mackenzie Aamoth both turned in a score of 59, Taylor Schulz and Taylor Hieland carded 62s, and Madelyn Anderson put together a 9-hole round of 66.

The course was wet and conditions were tough due to the wind. Taking first place from East Grand Forks was Madeline Jameson with a 51. All the Pirates results and pictures from the event can be found down below.
