Are you interested in growing a garden but don’t have much space? Join us and learn about small-space gardening.
Join the Polk County Master Gardener Volunteers at the Crookston Public Library to learn about small-space gardening! Learn everything from what types of containers/ spaces you can use, how you should prepare your soil, which plants grow best in small spaces, and more! This program is intended for both gardening beginners and pros. The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 18, at 11 a.m. and is open to the public. Come prepared with your questions and enthusiasm for gardening.
Plus, gardening enthusiasts should plan on visiting the Crookston Public Library’s Seed Library, which is open March 21-July 31, 2026. The Seed Library offers free garden seeds to the community while supplies last. We encourage gardeners to also grow the seed library by donating any leftover seeds from the previous year or at the end of the current year, so we can distribute them to more members of the community. The Seed Library is made possible by seed donations from the Family Resource Center (FRC) and by the support of the Polk County Master Gardener Volunteers.
All programs are open to the public and are offered free of charge. The Crookston Public Library is located at 110 N. Ash St. A full calendar of events can be found at larl.org/events.
