Crookston Public Schools will have Early Childhood Screening for children 3-5 years old who have not been screened on Monday, January 7 and Tuesday, January 8 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. “It takes about an hour to an hour and a half to do the screening,” says Washington Principal Denice Oliver. “It’s a fun day with a series of screenings, developmental, height and weight, vision, hearing, speech, and language and then they meet with the nurse for a health history screening.”
Parents also get information on what they can do to help prepare their children for kindergarten. “Every child receives a free backpack full of school supplies,” says Oliver. “It’s filled with activities intentionally created to be used at home in preparation for kindergarten.”
There are openings all day on both Monday and Tuesday. To register call 281-5078.
