Busy.
Dr. Lauren Rose’s Family Medicine with Obstetrics (OB) practice at RiverView Health is busy. Her home life with her husband and four children is busy, too. While many may wonder how she balances it all, those who work alongside her say she does so with kindness, professionalism, respect for her patients and coworkers, and a smile. For these reasons and many more, Dr. Rose was recently named RiverView Health’s Employee of the Month for May.
For nearly five years, Dr. Rose has cared for patients of all ages at RiverView Health, seeing patients at the Crookston and Red Lake Falls clinics. In addition to her clinical responsibilities, she takes OB call, newborn call, and inpatient call, manages the provider call schedule, and serves as medical director at Villa St. Vincent. Despite her many responsibilities, colleagues say she is always willing to answer questions, provide a second opinion, mentor new providers, or advocate for her patients by working directly with insurance companies when needed.
Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, Dr. Rose and her husband, Davin, live in Thompson with their four children: Naomi, 11; Elijah, 8; Lydia, 5; and Daniel, 1. Outside of work, she enjoys weightlifting, bowling, hiking, and playing board games with her family.
Of her EOM honor, she said, “I am very grateful to be named Employee of the Month. We have a wonderful team at RiverView on multiple fronts. I couldn’t get through a clinic day without Julie Zimmel, RN. She’s wonderful. The nurses on the inpatient unit are incredibly helpful and work with me to provide the best care possible for our patients.”
