Crookston Pirate Boys golfer Garrett Fischer shot a two-round total of 153 to finish tied for ninth place to qualify for the state golf tournament.
Evan Schockman wrapped up his Pirate career by shooting a two-day total of 171 to finish tied for 37th place at the Section 8A tournament at Bemidji Town and Country Club.
FIRST ROUND-
Garrett Fisher, a senior, shot a 78 and is in a tie for 11th place, one stroke out of being in the top five, not on the top team, and a trip to state. He carded three birdies, eight pars, five bogies, and two double bogies.
Evan Shockman, a senior, shot an 82 and is in a tie for 26th place. He had one birdie, seven pars, nine bogies, and one double bogey.
SECOND ROUND-
Garrett Fisher, a senior, shot a 75 and finished ninth place, and was one of the top five not on the winning team, and will advance to state with a two-day total of 153. Garrett had one eagle with a two on the par four 16th hole. He had a pair of birdies on the 14th and 15th holes. He also had nine pars, five bogies, and one double bogey.
Evan Shockman, a senior, shot an 89 and finished tied for 37th place to wrap up his Pirate career. Evan had one birdie, five pars, seven bogies, four double bogies, and one triple bogey.
