GRAND FORKS NARCOTICS TASK FORCE ARRESTS TWO ON SEARCH WARRANT

On Tuesday, January 22 as a result of a drug investigation, the Grand Forks Narcotics Task Force served a search warrant at 2116 1st Ave N in Grand Forks.

Pursuant to this search warrant the residents of the home, Brian Jones, 40 and Nakia Jones, 31 were arrested and taken into custody. Charges were forwarded for Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

3.2 pounds of methamphetamine, an unspecified amount of marijuana, several pieces of drug paraphernalia, four firearms, and nearly $9,000 in cash was seized.

 The Grand Forks Narcotics Task Force consists of members from the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation, US Border Patrol, Homeland Security Investigations, Pembina County Sheriff’s Office, Walsh County Sheriff’s Office, Grafton Police Department, Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Office, University of North Dakota Police Department, and the Grand Forks Police Department.
