Jenessa Kelley – Obit

Jenessa Mariah Kelley passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND due to a medical condition causing an automobile accident.Jenessa Kelley

Visitation will be on Thursday, January 14, 2021,  4 – 8 PM at Johnson Funeral Service in Red Lake Falls, MN. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Private family service will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 10:30 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plummer MN with Reverend Jonathan Dodson Officiating. Burial will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery near Red Lake Falls, MN at a later date.

Jenessa Mariah Kelley was born December 10, 1999 in Thief River Falls, MN daughter of Jared and Jenny (Seibel) Kelley. She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plummer, MN.

Jenessa attended school in Red Lake Falls, graduating from Lafayette High School in 2018. After graduating she attended Northland College in Thief River Falls. She worked various jobs in the area until gaining employment at American Federal Bank in Crookston where she was currently employed. She purchased her own home in Crookston, September of 2020 which she was in the process of remodeling.

Jenessa enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, vacationing and she loved spending time with any animal, loving puppy dogs the most.  She also enjoyed kayaking and tubing with her friends. Her favorite pastime was watching movies, especially the scary ones. She was sweet and sassy, loved to pick on her cousins and friends, she had a large amount of sarcasm but was still the sweetest girl. She deeply loved her friends and family, who loved her equally in return.

She is survived by her parents Jared and Jenny Kelley of Red Lake Falls, MN; sisters Jalayna Kelley and Jalizah Kelley both of Red Lake Falls, MN; grandparents Tom and Connie Seibel of Red Lake Falls, MN, Jim and Judy Kelley of Plummer, MN; great-grandmothers Jean Carpenter of Thief River Falls, MN, Darlene Lizotte of Stanwood, WA; aunts and uncles James (Angie) Kelley, Jeff Kelley, Jenelle (Brian) Remick, Jolene (Jason) Bradley, special aunt and uncle Angie (Shane) Vonasek; many cousins and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her great-grandparents Art (Betty) Seibel, Darrel Lizotte, Eugene Carpenter, Jim (Alice) Kelley; uncle Jack Kelley.
