Kaye Fetting – Obit

Kaye Dianne Fetting, 73, of Fertile, MN, formerly of Borup and Ada, passed away Monday, February 24, 2020, at Riverview Health, Crookston, MN, with her family by her side.Kaye Fetting

Kaye was born on January 4, 1947, at the Ada Hospital, Ada, MN, to Helmer and Bernice Horn of Twin Valley, MN. She attended Twin Valley Public School. After school she had many babysitting jobs. She loved children so this was close to her heart. Her parents operated the Valley Theater, in Twin Valley, so needless to say, Kaye got to see all the movies for free! Kaye was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, Twin Valley, MN, in June 1963.

Kaye met the love of her life, Roger Fetting, in 1982. She and Roger were married on June 11, 1983, at Zion Lutheran Church, Twin Valley, MN. They made their home in Borup, MN. They enjoyed going to Fargo to shop and eating at their favorite restaurant, “Pizza Ranch.”
Kaye was a wonderful cook and baker. She always made sure Roger had homemade buns and cookies for his lunch when he was working at American Crystal in Moorhead. She also had a hobby of embroidering sets of towels.

Although Kaye and Roger had no children, she was Godmother to several nieces and nephews. They enjoyed getting together and visiting with family. While living in Borup, Kaye and Roger were janitors at Winchester Lutheran Church for a number of years. They also attended Jevnaker Lutheran Church near Borup, MN. Kaye entered Fair Meadow Nursing Home on December 1, 2016.

Kaye is survived by her sisters, Joyce Kindseth, Litchfield, MN, Verna Grivno, Ada, MN, and Lucille Fuglseth, Fertile, MN; brothers-in-law, Bob Walde, Dent, MN, and Harold (Janice) Fetting, Finley, ND; sisters-in-law, Lois Carlsrud, Dilworth, MN, and Marilyn Williams, Billings, MT; 18 nieces and nephews; aunts, Adelle Noss, and Maureen Nelson; aunt and uncle, Yvonne and Lyle Nelson; and many cousins. Kaye was preceded in death by her husband Roger in February of 2019; her parents; an infant brother; sister, Betty Walde; brothers-in-law, Lloyd Kindseth, LeRoy Grivno and Jerry Fuglseth.

Memorials preferred to: St. Jude Children’s Hospital

Memorial Service: 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 7, 2020, at Little Norway Lutheran Church, Fertile, MN.

Visitation: One hour before the memorial service at Little Norway Lutheran Church, Fertile, MN.

Burial: Winchester Lutheran Cemetery, Borup, MN. (At a later date)
