Leane LaFrance, MSML, LADC, hasn’t been the director of RiverView Recovery Center long, but she’s already working on her to-do list.
“In my new role, I aim to increase access to treatment for rural clients by expanding telehealth services, foster partnerships with community organizations, and further enhance the quality and availability of services that RiverView has already built a strong foundation on,’’ she shared recently.
With a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, a minor in Sociology, and a Master of Science in Management and Leadership, Leane has been a licensed alcohol and drug counselor (LADC) for eight years, primarily working as an inpatient counselor and later a treatment director at Anchorage Recovery in Moorhead. She also ran a private practice for two years. Additionally, she has served as the operations manager for her family’s small business for the past seven years.
Leane was born in Texas and raised between Texas and Minnesota, as her parents worked in farm labor. She settled in Minnesota in her 20s. To balance work and personal commitments, Leane and her husband own a home in Moorhead and an apartment in East Grand Forks.
“I’m excited to work at RiverView because the organization fosters a culture of dedication, intelligence, and compassion. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to and build upon the exceptional services offered here,’’ she concluded.
RiverView Recovery Center offers an extensive list of outpatient programs that allow patients to receive high-caliber clinical care while maintaining commitments to work, family, and home. Services are provided in Crookston, East Grand Forks, Roseau, Thief River Falls, and through telehealth. For information, call 281.9511 or www.riverviewhealth.org/services/chemical-dependency/.
