Lillian Grenier- Obit

Lillian Grenier, Lillian GrenierSauk Rapids, formerly of Red Lake Falls, MN, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Good Shepard Nursing Home, Sauk Rapids MN with her loving family by her side.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1:00 PM,  Monday, March 18, 2019  at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN with Father Bob Schreiner Officiating and Deacon John Bruggeman. Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Red Lake Falls, MN later in the spring.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, 5 – 8 PM with a 7:00 PM prayer service at St. Joseph Catholic Church and also one hour prior to the service on Monday.

Lillian Claire Huot was born August 23, 1924 at Crookston, MN, the daughter of Ernest Isidore and Emma Rose (Benoit) Huot.

On August 8, 1949 Lillian was united in marriage to Donald Grenier, he passed away on June 19, 1954.   She married John Grenier on August 3, 1955 he passed away February 10, 2008.

She worked at the Red Lake Falls Theater, Red Lake Electric, R&D Electric, Co-op Grocery Store, Kruta & Muldoon, Attorneys at Law and Red Lake County State Bank.  She also took care of many foster children for Catholic Social Services

Lillian was a member of American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary St. Joseph Catholic Church and Catholic Daughters.

Survivors include children: Gary (Diane) Grenier, Broomfield, CO, Susan (Terry) Meehan, Varnville, SC, Gail (Chuck) Healy, Red Lake Falls, MN, Linda Grenier, Thief River Falls, MN, Ray (Agnes) Grenier, Crookston, MN, Jeff (Tammy) Grenier, Red Lake Falls, MN, Carol Rose, Red Lake Falls, MN and Mary (Jim) Degiovanni, St. Joseph, MN; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters: Mae Darlene Gjerstad, Jean Beyer and a brother Tom Huot, brother-in-law Kenneth Hagl, along with many nieces and nephews.

Lillian was preceded in death by husbands, Don and John, a son Stephen, parents, grandparents, brothers, Ernest and Jack and sisters, Pat Ruth, Dolores Glass and Rita Hagl, son-in-law Gary Rose.
