Join the Crookston VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, DAV Auxiliary, and the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon organization on Wednesday, June 10th at 11 am, celebrating Flag Day with a complimentary patriotic American Flag (4” x 6” inch, handheld, slightly used) and a cupcake at The Golden Link (while supplies last).
Flag Day 2026 is Sunday, June 14th, commemorating the adoption of the U.S. flag and the 250th anniversary, also called the Semiquincentennial, marking 250 years since the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. This milestone commemorates the founding of the United States and the beginning of its journey as a democratic republic, highlighting pivotal moments in American history and the contributions of diverse communities across the nation.
Flags will also be available at Tri-Valley Opportunity Council during office hours through July 2 or while supplies last. Tri-Valley office hours are Mondays through Thursdays, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Fridays, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
