UMC Women’s Golf Wraps Up Concordia-St.Paul Meet

The University of Minnesota Crookston (UMC) women’s golf team completed its final round of the Golden Bear Classic hosted by Concordia-St. Paul Classic at StoneRidge Golf Club in Stillwater, MN with a team score of 861 over the two-rounds, four strokes behind MSU-Moorhead in the battle for 10th place in the eleven team field. Augustana won the tournament with a two-day team score of 631, seven shots ahead of runner-up Minnesota State-Mankato. Concordia-St. Paul’s Sophia Hill (Sr., Medford) was the medalist with a two-round score of 151, finishing one-shot ahead of Augustana’s Hannah Hankinson (Jr., Edina).
The Golden Eagles were led by McKenzie Harris (Sr., Nevis) who was the only UMC golfer to break 100 shooting a 96 on Tuesday for a total of 202 finishing in 57th place. Allison Bot (Jr. Minneota) finished with a two-round total of 205 after shooting a 104 in her final round taking 60th place. Minnesota Crookston’s Anna Olson (Soph., Fertile) improved from an opening-round 115 by 13-strokes carding a 102 on Tuesday for a 62nd place finish. Camryn Larson (Fr., Fertile) improved by 11-strokes from her opening round shooting a 113 Tuesday, good for 63rd place.
The Golden Eagles return to the links on Saturday, September 22 for the start of the two-day SMSU Fall Invitational hosted at the Marshall Golf Club in Marshall.
