Miss Tootsie 2019 – Miss Biscuits & Gravy (Tyler Brekken)
The Miss Tootsie Pageant was held Friday night at the Crookston Eagles with an “80s” theme.
2018 Miss Tootsie, Tequila Rose (Bernie Ibarra), crowned the new 2019 Miss Tootsie Biscuits and Gravy (Tyler Brekken), and winner of the On-Stage Question, Evening Gown, and People’s Choice.
The first runner-up was Miss Michelle Ringo Starr (Mick Butenhoff). Miss Brown Sugar Rachel Tension (Jose Gonzalez) won the talent award. The other contestants were Miss A’Very Goodlay (Michael Cole) and Miss Hollywood (Les Swenson).
Amelia Schmitz was the Emcee. The judges were Ann Longtin Oliver, Todd Strem, and Terri Heggie. The auditor was Dianne Moser. Sound and Lights by Jake Fee.
Mel Lessard organized Miss Tootsie. The proceeds raised from the Miss Tootsie Pageant are being used to bring speaker Marc Mero to Crookston High School this fall to speak with students about suicide and drug addiction.
