A corrections officer at the Northwest Regional Corrections Center in Crookston has been arrested for sexual assault allegations.
Irving Bravo of Red Lake Falls has been charged with two felony third-degree criminal sexual conduct. The charges have a maximum sentence of 15 years in jail each.
On September 11, 2026, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the report of a sexual assault at the corrections center in Crookston. Two female inmates reported that they were sexually assaulted by a corrections officer earlier in the day by Bravo.
Bravo’s behavior had been occurring for several weeks, according to one of the inmates. One of the inmates said Bravo would find excuses to visit her in the cell and provide tobacco to her and the other victim.
According to the statement of probable cause, DNA evidence from the inmates is tied to Bravo.
