The Crookston Pirate Dance team competed at the conference finals at Frazee on Friday.
The Pirate Varsity Kick finished fifth place, and the Varsity Jazz finished sixth place.
“We saw a major improvement in our overall kick scores, and that’s exactly what we needed to see heading to sections in a couple of weeks,” said Coach Grace Espinosa. “We overcame some strong teams that we’ve been behind this season.”
The varsity Jazz and Kick teams will compete in Hawley on Friday, January 26.
