The winner of the 2026 KROX Crookston Pirate You Pick the Score contest was Randy Smith. He picked the Polk County West Thunder to beat the Crookston Pirates by 42 to 14. The final score was Polk County West 55 and Crookston 12. Randy beat another picker by one point.
Randy received $10 gift certificates from local businesses, including Advanced Tire and Auto, B & E Meats, Crookston Eagles #873, Happy Joe’s Pizza and Ice Cream Parlor, The Ranch at Minakwa Golf Course, and Wonderful Life Foods, all of Crookston and Ness Café in Erskine. Plus $20 gift certificates from Erickson Embroidery and Design, Hugo’s Family Marketplace, Irishman’s Shanty, Local Ace all of Crookston, and Purdy’s Shoe Store in Thief River Falls and Snow Sled Inn Bar and Grill in Gentilly, a large one-item pizza from Mugoo’s Pizza, and KROX added $78 as a bonus, a dollar for each year KROX has been in business.
