RED LAKE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE HAD A BUSY WEEK WITH 17 CALLS

On the morning of 08/20/21, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of vandalism to a vehicle in the city of Red Lake Falls. That complaint was investigated and it was determined that the vehicle was not actually damaged. The matter was closed.
In the early morning hours of 08/21/21, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a male causing problems at the Voyageur’s View Campground. Red Lake County deputies responded and discovered that Jason Robert Wells (35) of Mesa, AZ had assaulted another individual. He was arrested, taken to the jail in Crookston, and booked for misdemeanor assault and obstructing. He appeared in Court in Crookston on 08/23/21 and he was released on his promise to appear at his next scheduled court hearing in Red Lake Falls.
On the morning of 08/21/21, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of some property damage that occurred overnight at the Golf Course in Red Lake Falls. That incident is still under investigation.
On the afternoon of 08/21/21, a Red Lake County deputy responded to a reported domestic disturbance in the city of Brooks. The situation was mediated without arrests or citations.
On the evening of 08/21/21, a Red Lake County deputy stopped a vehicle, for a moving violation, on Hwy. #92 west of Oklee. The driver, Matthew George Lalonde (35) of Thief River Falls was cited for misdemeanor driving after revocation and open bottle. The passenger, Tanya Lynn Aery (32) of Thief River Falls will be charged with felony possession of methamphetamine. Both parties were placed under arrest, but were then released at the scene because the deputy needed to respond to another call for service. Lalonde and Aery will be summonsed to appear in Court in Red Lake Falls sometime in September.
In the early morning hours of 08/22/21, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report from the Bagley Police Department. It was reported that a man came into the Emergency Room at the hospital in Bagley to be treated for a stab wound. The Bagley Police Officer that investigated the report suspected the victim may have sustained that wound at a residence in Oklee. The victim was transferred to a hospital in Fargo, but he was in stable condition. The victim was uncooperative with law enforcement and at this time it does not appear that this injury occurred in Oklee, but the report remains under investigation.
In the early morning hours of 08/22/21, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a domestic disturbance in the city of Plummer. Red Lake County deputies responded and found that it was a verbal argument. The situation was mediated without arrests or citations.
On the evening of 08/22/21, an Oklee resident reported that they had just returned home, after being gone for a few days, and her ex-husband had the electric company shut the power off. This caused food to spoil and the loss was estimated at hundreds of dollars. While a Red Lake County deputy was investigating that report, the suspect, Eddy Lyle Kilbourn of Oklee, got into a vehicle and drove way. The deputy had recently spoke with Kilbourn and it was suspected that he was under the influence of alcohol. The deputy attempted to stop Kilbourn, but he continued to drive to another residence in Oklee. He exited the vehicle and attempted to run away from the deputy. Kilbourn was apprehended and placed under arrest. While on the way to jail, Kilbourn claimed to be having a medical emergency. The Red Lake Falls Ambulance was contacted so he could be transported to the Sanford ER in Thief River Falls. Kilbourn was released from law enforcement custody so he could be transferred and treated in Fargo. He has since been released from the hospital. The matter is still under investigation he will be summonsed to appear in Court in Red Lake Falls if any formal criminal charges are filed.
On the evening of 08/22/21, the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office reported they had arrested Derek Edward Gould (35) of Bena. Red Lake County holds an active warrant for his arrest. Beltrami County also has local charges pending against Gould. He will be held in the Beltrami County Jail until his matters there are settled and he will be released to Red Lake County at a later time.
On the afternoon of 08/24/21, the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office reported they had arrested Bradley Gerald Konickson (50) of St. Hilaire. Red Lake County holds an active warrant for his arrest. Pennington County indicated they also had criminal charges pending against him. He will be released to Red Lake County once those matters are settled.
On the evening of 08/24/21, Kristina Lynn Finn (33) of Plummer was cited for misdemeanor driving after revocation on CR. #1 east of Plummer.
On the morning of 08/25/21, the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office contacted the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office because Kimberly Joyce Knutson (37) of Brooks was getting released from their custody. She was released to Red Lake County authorities and transported to the jail in Crookston and booked for felony threats of violence, gross misdemeanor interference with a 911, and misdemeanor domestic assault. She appeared in Court in Crookston on 08/26/21 and bail was set at $5,000 cash. She remains in custody at the time of this release.
On the afternoon of 08/25/21, Red Lake County deputies arrested Randy Lee Olson Brosseau (35) of Red Lake Falls at his residence. Red Lake County held an active warrant for his arrest. He was taken to the jail in Crookston. He appeared in Court in Crookston on 08/26/21 and bail was set at $500 cash. He is still in custody at the jail in Crookston.
On the afternoon of 08/25/21, the Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office received a report that someone had put trash into a business’ dumpster in Red Lake Falls. A Red Lake County deputy investigated and found that the trash had been dumped illegally. Jennifer Michelle Gregerson (40) of Red Lake Falls was cited for illegal deposit of garbage.
On the evening of 08/25/21, Steven Lee Bonham (35) of Red Lake Falls was cited for misdemeanor driving after revocation and no proof of current motor vehicle insurance on CR. #13 west of Red Lake Falls.
On the evening of 08/25/21, Red Lake County deputies responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in Louisville Township. No crimes had been committed, but one of the involved parties agreed to leave the residence for the night.
On the morning of 08/26/21, Seth Ryan Ellefson (37) of Red Lake Falls was arrested by a Red Lake County deputy in the city of Red Lake Falls. Pennington County held an active warrant for his arrest. He was turned over to a Pennington County deputy and transported to the jail in Thief River Falls.
