RIVERVIEW FOUNDATION’S GOLF CLASSIC BRINGS IN OVER $24,000 FOR CONCUSSION PROGRAM, SCHOLARSHIPS

Fifteen teams took part in the RiverView Foundation’s 17th Annual Golf Classic on Monday, June 13, at Minakwa Golf Course.

More than $24,000 was raised at the event for concussion awareness and management for regional youth athletics through the ImPACT (Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing) Program and health care workforce development through the Valborg Erickson Scholarship Fund.

Major sponsors of the event were Dr. Colin and Lorianne Fennell, CL Linfoot, Lunseth Plumbing and Heating, Hugo’s Family Marketplace, Glen and Marlys Finkenbinder, New Horizon Foods, USI, Consulting Radiologists, and Magnet Solutions.

It was a repeat win for the team of Justin Cameron, Crookston Building Center, Inc.; Garrett Borowicz, Widseth; Nate Smith, Crookston Eye Clinic; and Bill Anderson, American Federal Bank. The team won last year’s tournament and had a win a few years back.

To date, the Golf Classic has brought in more than $394,000 to fund priority projects at RiverView Health.

“I would like to thank our generous sponsors, donors, and golfers for making this event successful,” stated Randy Schoenborn, director of the RiverView Foundation. “Together, we raised over $24,000 that will provide tremendous benefits to our employees and patients. We could not do this without your support.”
