Robin Earl Wagner – OBIT

Robin Earl Wagner, 66, of Fisher, Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly at his home on December 31, 2023.

Robin was born in Crookston, MN, on May 10, 1957, to loving parents Earl and Elizabeth (Fladeland) Wagner. On May 26, 1957, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fisher, MN., God gave him new birth through the waters of Holy Baptism. On May 2, 1971 he publicly confessed his faith and was confirmed in the Christian faith. He received the precious gift of the Lord’s life-giving body and blood. He attended Fisher Public School, from which he graduated with the class of 1975. Following graduation, he spent a year at North Dakota State University expanding his knowledge in Agriculture before returning home to farm with his father, Earl.

Robin with his children, Courtney and Bryton, welcomed Lisa Kalkbrenner into their lives. On November 18, 1989, Robin married Lisa at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fisher. They made their home on the farm near Fisher and were blessed with two more sons: Cole and Trent, along with seven grandchildren: Noah, Peter, Cashton, Case, Rilyn, Mae, and Stratton.

As a fourth-generation farmer, Robin spent his life committed to faith, family, and the farm. He passed on his love of farming to his sons, who joined him in the operation. Robin cherished the days he spent working alongside his boys. During his younger years, he spent several winters hauling sugar beets for Transystems. In addition, Robin was a volunteer firefighter in Fisher for 20 years and also served as a first responder for the community. He loved going to his children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events and activities. He enjoyed jeepin’, fishing, hunting, water and snow sports, along with watching football with his friends and family. Most of all, Robin treasured the times spent with his family around the fire at the lake.

Being a man deeply rooted in faith in Jesus Christ, Robin was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fisher and faithfully served in various positions within the congregation throughout his life. Robin trusted God’s promises in Holy Baptism of the forgiveness of his sins and everlasting life. He believed that because Jesus Christ was raised from the dead, he, too, shall be raised, and so he rested in the hope of the resurrection. It is in this same promise, faith, and hope that we who are still here find our comfort and strength.

Robin will forever be cherished by his family and friends. His passing leaves a void that can never truly be filled, but his memory and legacy will live on.

May God Bless the Memory of Robin Earl Wagner.
