The Sacred Heart Eagle Baseball team won the Section 8A Championship on Thursday and found out who they will be playing in the first round of the Minnesota Class A State Baseball tournament on Thursday, June 13, at Faber Field in St. Cloud.
Sacred Heart didn’t receive one of the top seeds and in a random draw, they will play #3 seed Lyle-Pacelli. Lyle-Pacelli is the Section 1 champion and is 22-2 on the year. They beat Hayfield 2-1 in the Section semi-finals and beat Southland 3-2 in the Section 1 championship game. Lyle-Pacelli’s two losses were to Southland 2-1 in 10 innings and Hayfield 13-7.
