Sherman Dillabough – Obit

Sherman Charles Dillabough, 73, of Crookston, MN, passed away Sunday afternoon, April 29, 2018, at the Villa St. Vincent in Crookston with his family at his side. Sherm was born in Crookston on September 9, 1944, the 3rd of 4 children of the union of Charles and Gladys (Brault) Dillabough. He graduated from Crookston Central High School and for a time worked as a grain inspector. Sherman DillaboughFor several years during the 1960’s he served in the US Army National Guard from Crookston with Company C, 2nd Battallion, 136th Infantry. Sherm spent most of his life as a self-employed local carpenter, known for his excellent workmanship, and attention to the finest of details. Sherm had a great sense of humor, and his one-liners were classics. He was a good friend to all and a loving brother and uncle.
Sherm is survived by his sisters, Mary Jo Jobe and Shirley Howdahl, of Crookston, MN; brother, Dwain Dillabough and his wife, Patti, of Crookston; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Gladys; and brothers-in-law, Arlyn Jobe and Carl Howdahl. May God richly bless Sherm’s memory.
A graveside service for Sherman Charles Dillabough will be held at 9:30AM, Friday, May 11, 2018, at the Calvary Cemetery in Crookston with The Very Rev. Vincent Miller, presiding. Military Honors will be provided by the Crookston Veterans Council.
