Six girls will compete for the title of Miss Crookston in the 2026 Miss Crookston Scholarship pageant on Thursday, August 13, at 7:00 p.m. at the Crookston High School Auditorium. This year’s theme is “Clothed in Confidence.“
The six contestants are –
Avery Matthews – Daughter of James and Jami Matthews. Sponsor is Choice Therapy. Talent is Lyrical Dance.
Emilee Smith – Daughter of Kendra Smith and Scott Mustain. Sponsor is D & D Thomforde’s. Talent is Piano.
Evelyn Gunderson – Daughter of Grant and Gina Gunderson. Sponsor is Crookston Building Center. Talent is a Comical Monologue.
Cecilia Widman – Daughter of George Widman IV. Sponsor is Widman Candy Store. Talent is a Tap Dance.
Addisyn Schiller – Daughter of Adam Schiller, and the late Amber Schiller. Sponsor is Synergy Nutrition Hub. Talent is Singing.
Allysen Wagner – Daughter of Marc and Aimee Wagner. Sponsor is Wagner Mobile Welding. Talent is Speed Painting.
The Miss Crookston committee is made up of Kelly Chandler and Adrianne Winger who are this year’s co-directors, along with Becky Kofoed and Emily Tate. Chandler said the girls have been great. “It has been going great. The girls are enthusiastic and excited to practice for next week. The days we haven’t had practice, the have commented that they wish there was practice, so they are excited,” said Chandler. “We have six girls that are amazing and it has been fun getting to work with them and getting to know them.”
Tickets are $10 and will be available at the door on Thursday night, with the doors opening at 6:15 p.m. You can also get tickets from the board members of the Miss Crookston Pageant Committee. Presale tickets will be sold Monday at 6:00 p.m. at the Crookston High School, outside of the auditorium. The proceeds collected go towards scholarships for the contestants.
The Peoples Choice Award will be back this year with each vote being a dollar, with all the proceeds going to the scholarships.
