The Summer Arts Safari and the Crookston Community Theater performed “Matilda Jr.” the Musical at the Highland Elementary School on Friday, August 19, at 5:30 p.m. and on Saturday, August 20, at 11:00 a.m.
The show was a musical telling of Roald Dahl’s novel with fun songs performed by the students. The musical was directed by Neve Moore, Katie Heffernan, Allison Cox, and Zach Gemar with costumes made by Sophia LeMire, with Neve Moore and Katie Heffernan also creating the set pieces. The music and lyrics were made by Tim Minchin.
