MANY NW MINNESOTA SCHOOLS PARTICIPATING IN BE THE LIGHT CAMPAIGN

Several school districts from Northwest Minnesota will participate in the “Be the Light” campaign tonight and some will continue for weeks to come.  The list we have been able to compile is below.  If your school district is taking part in the campaign and isn’t listed, email kroxnews@gmail.com.   Ada-Borup will light up Tony Sipe Field

SECTION 8AA BOYS BASKETBALL SEEDS ANNOUNCED – EGF AND FERGUS FALLS TOP SEEDS

The Section 8AA Boys Basketball seeds and tournament bracket have been released.  East Grand Forks and Fergus Falls received the top seeds.  The seeds and bracket are below – North – 1. CROOKSTON PUBLIC LIBRARY AND ALL LAKE AGASSIZ REGIONAL LOCATIONS CLOSED FEBRUARY 17

The Crookston Public Library and all Lake Agassiz Regional Library (LARL) branches and LINK sites will be closed on Monday, February 17 in observance of Presidents’ Day, with regular hours of operation resuming Tuesday, February 18.  LARL’s branch libraries are located in Ada, Bagley, Barnesville, Breckenridge, Climax, Crookston, Detroit Lakes, Fertile, Fosston, Hawley, Mahnomen, McIntosh, and Moorhead. BAGLEY AWARDED INFRASTRUCTURE GRANT FROM DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYMENT AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) awarded $645,925 in grants to infrastructure projects in Greater Minnesota. The funding awarded from DEED’s Greater Minnesota Business Development Public Infrastructure Grant Program (BDPI) will go to projects in Bagley and Fairmont. “Keeping Minnesota’s water clean for future generations is a smart economic investment for our state,”
