ANOTHER TRAIN DERAILS IN SAME SPOT IN A MONTH, NORTH OF CROOKSTON

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a train derailment from Burlington Northern Sante Fe at the intersection of Highway 75 and 210th Street Southwest north of Crookston.  Nobody was injured in the train derailment and nothing was leaking from the cars.  A total of 22 cars had derailed.  There is no concern

CROOKSTON FIREFIGHTER’S ASSOCIATION PURCHASES NEW FIRE TRUCK

The Crookston Firefighter’s Association picked up their new fire truck recently and spent Thursday evening outfitting it with the equipment from the old truck.  The new truck is Engine 9 and replaces Engine 8 which was purchased in 1994.
