ELIZABETH HELGESON FINDS THE OX CART DAYS MEDALLION (AGAIN!)

The Crookston Ox Cart Days medallion has been found by Elizabeth Helgeson on Thursday afternoon at the Carmen Park playground.  It is the second time Helgeson has found the medallion after she found it in 2019.   She found the medallion about 30 minutes before she had to be at Pirate Girls Swim team practice.  She

CROOKSTON VFW CLOSING IT’S DOORS THIS SATURDAY AFTER 85 YEARS OF BUSINESS

MODEL TRAIN RESTORED AND BACK ON TRACK AT POLK COUNTY HISTORICAL MUSEUM

Submitted by the Twylla Altepeter – The whistle of a locomotive can be heard loud and clear at the Polk County Historical Society Museum in Crookston. A model train has been restored and is back on track. Dick Drecksler of Crookston began collecting model trains in 1940. This model was 20 years in the making.
