PERMITS BEING FINALIZED, POSSIBLE GROUNDBREAKING THIS FALL EPITOME ENERGY CEO TELLS CHEDA BOARD

The Crookston Housing and Economic Development Authority (CHEDA) Board met Tuesday morning approving three invoices for permitting for Epitome Energy and received an update from Epitome Energy CEO Dennis Egan, who joined the meeting virtually. The invoices were to Wenck Associates (2 invoices) and Sunde Engineering; the two companies contracted to complete the permitting process.

CROOKSTON HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TOUR GRAND FORKS TRUSS, CHS/NORTHLAND GRAIN

The Construction Trades and Intro to Ag classes both took trips last week to visit local businesses.  The Construction trades class visited Grand Forks Truss, a company that makes residential and commercial rafters and floor trusses.  The Intro to Ag class also went out to visit and learn about the CHS/Northland Grain Terminal.

GATEWAY OVERLAY DISTRICT ORDINANCE ADOPTED IN 5-2 VOTE

The Crookston City Council met on Monday night with the first item of business being a Mayoral Proclamation for Ox Cart Days 30th Anniversary.  Ox Cart days will consist of seven days of events August 12-18 and is expected to draw in 5,000 people throughout the week.  The Council also passed the Gateway Overlay District
