CROOKSTON FIRE FIGHTERS UNVEIL THIS YEAR’S 9-11 MEMORIAL
The Crookston Fire Department’s has put together their annual 9/11 memorial honoring the 343 firefighters from New York City who were killed during rescue efforts when the World Trade Center towers collapsed during the terrorist attack in 2001. FIRE CALLS – At 11:27 Monday morning, the Crookston Fire Department was called to Highland Elementary School to investigate a smell in a classroom. Their monitors showed no hazardous gasses present; they located the source of the smell and turned the matter over to maintenance.

Fire Calls: The Crookston Fire Department held their monthly training on Thursday evening, then were called out at 8:40 p.m. to a home in Gentilly for a report of smoke in the basement. The investigation found no issues, and the matter was turned over to the homeowner.
