The Crookston 8th grade Girls Basketball team went 3-0 and won the Thief River Falls tournament on Saturday. They were supposed to play Saturday and Sunday, but due to the blizzard warning for Sunday, they played the championship game at 9:00 p.m. at the Thief River Falls auditorium. Crookston High School competed at regional Mathcounts competition. The team of Tatum Lubinski, Zara Baig, Thor Harbott and Nathan Kelly received second place in the large school division and third place overall. The Crookston Pirate Girls Tennis team beat Long Prairie-Grey Eagle 5-2, and lost to Pequot Lakes 4-0 (in a rain-shortened match) and Park Rapids 5-2 at the Park Rapids quadrangular at the Depot Courts in Park Rapids.
