One and Only of Euclid won the 2026 Crookston Lions Club Ribfest on Friday, which was held in the Downtown Square as part of Ox Cart Days. It is the second straight year that One and Only has won Ribfest. Ribfest was moved to Friday this year due to the addition of Ox Cart Days
KROX Radio will hold its 65th Annual Crazy Days Auctions on Thursday, August 13, at the Downtown Square at the intersection of Ash Street and 3rd Street. We will auction off over $23,000 in merchandise and gift certificates from area businesses. Everything will be sold at a discount!! The auctions will include the following merchandise-
The 2026 Ox Cart Days Festival officially kicked off on Monday evening at the Crookston Inn ballroom with the Taste of Crookston, sponsored by United Valley Bank of Crookston. The Crookston City Council will meet on Monday, March 2 at the Crookston City Hall Council Chambers. The consent agenda includes the approval of the February 17 meeting minutes, bills, and disbursements for $438,877.93. The council will be asked to appoint Theresa Tahran to be the City of Crookston representative to the Polk County Affordable
The United Way of Crookston’s Chili and Soup Cook Off was held on Tuesday evening with nine contestants. The Irishman’s Shanty, Wonderful Life Foods, Eagle’s Wing, LMB Pumpkin Patch, REM, Benedictine Living Community, Georgia Belter, Golden Link Senior Center, and Polk County DAC all participated in the cook-off. The One and Only of Euclid won the 2025 Crookston Lions Club Ribfest on Thursday evening at the Downtown Square. The One and Only won the competition with 52 votes. The Irishman’s Shanty had 51 votes, and Scobey’s rounded out the top three with 47 votes. Pictures are below.
