CITY OF CROOKSTON TO FILE PERMIT APPLICATION TO LIGHT ROBERT ST BRIDGE

The Crookston Ways & Means Committee voted Monday night to complete a permit application to light the Robert St. Bridge.  The request for the City to complete the application was made by the Downtown Crookston Development Committee (DCDP). The State of Minnesota requires such a permit application to be submitted by the local government entity.

HOLIDAY LIGHTS GO UP AT MAIN STREET COURTYARD WITH HELP OF CROOKSTON FIRE DEPARTMENT

Crookston firefighters Chris Klawitter, Bob Magsam and Garett Bengtson used the ladder truck to hang lights Thursday morning from the evergreen tree downtown in the Main Street Courtyard space. They’re assisting the Crookston Rotary Club, who acquired lights during Otter Tail Power Company’s Holiday Light Exchange, to help spread Christmas/Holiday cheer.

PARK BOARD RAISES RESERVED PARKING FEE FOR SPORTS CENTER, LIMITS TO ONE SPOT PER HOUSEHOLD

The Crookston Park Board met on Monday night and discussed the reserved parking spots at the Crookston Sports Center.  Parks and Recreation Director Scott Riopelle suggested the park board consider implementing a policy that limits spots to one per household unless all six reserved spaces aren’t sold.  They also considered the price with Mike LaFrance
