Three people have filed for the Crookston School Board this week. They are Mike Theis, currently completing the term of Kari Miller, Marcia Meine, and Jason Klinnert. Filing for the school board is open through 5 p.m. on August 11 at the Crookston District Office.
The Crookston Eagles Auxiliary #873 awarded it’s 2020 scholarship to Gretchen Theis. She is the daughter of Mike and Amy Theis and will be attending North Dakota State University this fall.
The Crookston School Board met on Monday in the Crookston High School choir/orchestra room and approved putting a fueling station at the new bus garage, the long-term facilities plan, and heard from an upset citizen that seniors that couldn’t make Saturday’s graduation ceremony, including two in the military, weren’t recognized at the ceremony. The Crookston School Board met on Monday night approving both the sale of general obligation school building bonds and awarding the bid for construction of the district’s new bus garage. The winning bond bid went to BAIRD out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin for an interest rate of 1.2772%. Superintendent Jeremy Olson said the district got lucky
