HIGHLAND SCHOOL MATH MASTERS FINISH 1ST AND 3RD

Fifth and sixth-grade students from Highland Elementary School competed in the regional Math Masters of Minnesota Challenge in Bemidji. The fifth-grade team finished first place out of 25 teams.  Competing were Haddie Halland, Elsie Mathews, Ella Capistran, Cohen Luckow, and Harrison Cameron. CROOKSTON 6TH GRADE BOYS BASKETBALL WINS CONSOLATION CHAMPIONSHIP AT ADA

The Crookston Youth Basketball Association’s 6th Grade Boys Basketball team played four games to come away with the Consolation Championship at the Ada-Borup youth basketball tournament last weekend. Crookston lost to Ada, but then turned around the day and beat Clearbrook-Gonvick, Richland ND, and the Grand Forks Nets in double overtime to claim the Consolation Championship.

HIGHLAND ELEMENTARY STUDENTS PLACE IN REGIONAL MATH MASTERS OF MINNESOTA CHALLENGE IN BEMIDJI

Highland Elementary 5th and 6th-grade students competed in the regional Math Masters of Minnesota Challenge in Bemidji. Students competing were Asher Wieland, Nathan Pahlen, Hamsini Chanda, Eva Gosse, Keziah Mason, Abby Lane, Peyton Demarais, Jayde Uttermark, Sylvia Christensen, and Mackenzie Ness. These students competed individually and as teams on eight sets of mathematical problems in this competition
