The Crookston Pirate Boys Basketball team opened the game on an 11-3 run, but were outscored 58-37 for the remainder of the game as the Stephen-Argyle Storm took down the Pirates by a score of 69-40 at the Crookston High School gymnasium. Stephen-Argyle’s 6’11 senior, Jake Carlson, led all scorers with 21 points. FIRST HALF
Our Savior’s Lutheran School held its sixth-grade graduation at a special worship service on Wednesday, May 24. Graduates were Blake Brockpahler, Lily Olmstead, Ava Oliver, Ruby Larson, and Nolan Johnson. A picture from the service is below.
Ten students and two alumni from Our Savior’s Lutheran School participated in the Minnesota North Lutheran Schools Bible Bowl competition in Walker, MN, on Saturday, March 4. The competition consisted of six rounds of intense Bible quizzing. The 4th, 6th, and 7th-grade teams placed 3rd in their groups. The 5th-grade team placed 2nd.
The Crookston Youth Basketball Association’s 6th Grade Boys Basketball team played four games to come away with the Consolation Championship at the Ada-Borup youth basketball tournament last weekend. Crookston lost to Ada, but then turned around the day and beat Clearbrook-Gonvick, Richland ND, and the Grand Forks Nets in double overtime to claim the Consolation Championship.
