While people continue to miss county and state fairs, and other large gatherings throughout summer 2020, especially Crookston’s Ox Cart Days, which postponed its events to 2021 due to the pandemic and insurance-related reasons, some events happening the third week of August in Crookston will keep the festival spirit alive. CROOKSTON WAYS & MEANS COMMITTEE TO MEET MONDAY NIGHT

The Crookston Ways & Means Committee will meet Monday night following the Crookston City Council Meeting. The committee will discuss several topics beginning with a request from the new owners of North Acres and Carmen Terrace mobile home parks to have city garbage collection.  The parks had previously been contracted out as a commercial property.

UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA REGENTS VOTES TO START FALL SEMESTER ON CAMPUS

The University of Minnesota Board of Regents voted Friday to open all five campuses for the fall semester. Students will have the ability to take classes across various modes from fully in-person to full distance learning based on their unique needs. UMC SOCCER SIGNS THREE MORE PLAYERS

The University of Minnesota Crookston women’s soccer program announced the signing of three student-athletes to their 2020 signing class.
