The Cove is donating $1,000 to Crookston Public Schools to help support efforts to improve school attendance and reduce truancy in our community.
They will also be putting together grief baskets for students who have suffered from a loss or tragedy in their life.
They believe that every day at school matters. Sometimes kids have a rough morning, sleep through their alarm, have an appointment, or simply face circumstances that make getting to school difficult. They want to be part of removing one of those barriers.
With this donation, they hope to help provide bus rides for students who may have missed their regular transportation or are having a difficult morning, giving them another opportunity to get to school—even if they’ve already missed part of the day.
Missing part of the school day doesn’t mean you should miss the rest of it. If you slept in, had an appointment, or had a difficult morning, it’s still important to make it to school for whatever time you can.
A late arrival is better than an absent day.
The Cove is proud to stand alongside our schools, families, and students as we work together to help get more kids through the doors, in the classroom, and on the path to success.
