Todd Allen Morken 58, passed away of natural causes in Fargo, ND on September 22, 2026.
Todd was born June 24, 1968 in Crookston, MN, the son of Chester and Adeline (Paasche) Morken. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith. He grew up in rural Fisher, MN attending Fisher School and graduating in 1987. He then continued his education at Vocational- Technical school in Moorhead, MN. After completing his education, Todd began working at the Crookston Building Center, where he developed a strong work ethic and built lasting connections with those around him. He later relocated to Fargo, where he worked at a variety of jobs.
Todd enjoyed art and woodworking projects, but what truly defined him was his kind heart and love for people. He had the gift of connecting with people. Friends affectionately called him “Little Chet” a nickname that reflected the special place he held in the hearts of those who knew him. His siblings shared these heartfelt memories of their beloved brother:
Our baby brother Todd survived a tornado when he was 15 months old, being held in the arms of our Mother. God wasn’t ready for him yet. Todd grew into the kindest gentleman and never met a stranger. He had a host of “buddies” he met over the years, and we want to thank them for all the kindness, support and love you gave back to him. He fought the good fight as a faithful soul, leaving us far too young. God needed to take him home, but his life was not in vain.
Todd’s family is deeply grateful to the many friends who filled his life with friendship, kindness and love. The support and care shown to Todd throughout the years meant so much to him and to his family. Todd is survived by his siblings, Dianne Morken, Jodie (Duane) DeBoer, Brian (Lori) Morken. His sons, Isaac Treitline and Jaret Morken, and many extended family and friends who will cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Adeline. Todd’s kind heart, gentle spirit and the love he shared with others will never be forgotten. Though his time with us was far too short, his life made a difference and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. A family service will be held at a later date.
