UMC MEN’S GOLF IN FIFTH PLACE, CROOKSTON’S BEN TROSTAD LEADS THE TEAM

The University of Minnesota Crookston Golden Eagle Men’s Golf team shot a solid 303 and are in fifth place out of nine teams after the first round of the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Spring invite at Antelope Hills South Course in Prescott, Arizona.

Ben Trostad (Soph. Crookston) led the Golden Eagles with a 73, which is tied for the ninth-best score. Connor Humble (Jr. Rosemount) and Keegan Poppenberg (Fresh. Esko) shot 76’s and Brian Bekkala (Jr. Livonia, Mich) rounded out the top four scores with a 78. Spencer Harvey (Jr. Cambridge) shot a 90. UMC had two players as individuals with Matt Moroz (Fresh. Edmonton, Alberta) shooting an 86 and Dillon Sannes (Jr. Fertile) shot a 92.
