The United Way of Crookston is hosting a Golf Tournament on August 9 at Minakwa Golf Course in Crookston. We sat down with Libby Boucher, the Executive Director of the United Way of Crookston, to get the rundown on the upcoming event.
“It is next Friday, August 9. We are going to start registering teams in the morning. We have 10 teams already signed up,” says Boucher. This is only the second year we have run it, so our whole goal was to grow it a little bit, and we have.”
The proceeds from the golf tournament go to help fund local agencies and programs supported by the United Way of Crookston. “We had set a fairly conservative goal that we have surpassed, so that’s awesome,” added Boucher.
There is still room for teams to enter the tournament, and there are multiple ways to do so. “Find us on Facebook and shoot me a message there,” said Boucher. You can also call the office at 218-281-1715 or email me at exec@unitedwayofcrookston.org.”
There is still time to register for the tournament. Teams of four are $300. “This includes breakfast, lunch, a swag bag, and we are going to give away some prizes,” said Boucher. “If you want to be a team, sign up quickly because we are filling up pretty fast.”
There will be a raffle ($20 per ticket) for a chance to win a 1/4 beef from Red Ink Ranch. Tickets will be sold at the event.
All proceeds help fund local agencies and programs supported by the United Way of Crookston.
