Robert Peter Anderson – Obit

Robert “Pete” Anderson, 84, of Grand Forks, formerly of Fisher, MN, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022, at Valley Senior Living, Woodside Village in Grand Forks.

Robert Peter Anderson was born June 9, 1937, in Grand Forks, ND to the late Olaf and Betsy (Boe) Anderson.  He grew up and attended school in Fisher, then the AC in Crookston, and served in the US National Guard. On December 29, 1972, he married Yvonne Default in Gentilly. Pete was a farmer all his life and he and Yvonne made their home on the family farm in Fisher. Pete and his brothers created Anderson Brothers Farms of Fisher. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a member of the Crookston VFW and Fisher American Legion.

He is survived by brother Sidney Anderson and sister-in-law Medora Anderson both of Fisher, MN, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Yvonne Anderson, brothers Odien, Ramond, and John Anderson, and sister Margaret Tank Hougen.

Visitation: 5:00-7:00 PM with a 6:30 Prayer Service, Sunday, May 1, 2022, at Dahl Funeral Home, 2029 Central Ave. NW, East Grand Forks, MN 56721

Funeral: 11:00 AM, Monday, May 2, 2022, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 305 3rd St S, Fisher, MN 56723 with visitation 1 hour prior. Service will be live-streamed on Pete’s page at www.dandahlfuneralhome.com

Burial:  Greenwood Cemetery, Fisher, Minnesota when the weather allows
