15-YEAR-OLD CRASHES CAR THEN FLEES ON FOOT BEFORE SURRENDERING SATURDAY NIGHT

On Saturday, October 30, at approximately 11:00 p.m., the Crookston Police Department investigated a single-vehicle accident near the intersection of Pine Street and West 6th Street in Crookston where a car went off the road and ran into a hill as a result of fleeing from police.
The driver was identified as a juvenile male, 15 years of age, from Crookston. The suspect, after the accident, subsequently fled on foot from police before he surrendered to law enforcement a short time later. No one was injured in the accident, and the case has been sent to the Polk County Attorney’s Office for formal charges. 

No further information will be released at this time. Also present during the investigation were the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and the Crookston Area Ambulance.
