WAYS & MEANS COMMITTEE TO MEET MONDAY FOR BOTH CLOSED AND OPEN SESSIONS

The Ways & Means Committee will meet twice on Monday at City Hall.  First, they will meet in closed session at 6:30 p.m. to discuss a potential property sale.  Then the regularly scheduled Ways & Means Committee meeting will follow the City Council.  The agenda for the open meeting includes the following nominations to boards and committees by Mayor Guy Martin:

  • Andy Gjerswold – Airport Commission
  • Nate Lubarski – Park Board
  • Bill Anderson – Development Policy & Review
  • Rand Hughes – Planning Commission

Next on the agenda is the purchase of a new 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe squad car for the Crookston Police Department with a low bid by Brost Chevrolet for $36,090.00.  The Development Policy and Review Committee met on December 12 and is recommending the loan application be filed with the USDA Rural Development Office for additional funding for the IRP Loan fund, which will be considered by Ways & Means.  The committee will then proceed into a discussion about personal protective equipment before reaching the final item on their agenda, City of Crookston Code of Conduct, which staff has been asked to reintroduce to the committee.
