CROOKSTON CITY COUNCIL TO MEET MONDAY NIGHT

Crookston City Council

The Crookston City Council will meet on Monday night at 7:00 p.m. inside the City Hall Council Chambers.

The Board will begin with an Oath of Office with Police Chief Darin Selzler and Deputy Chief Nathan Nelson being officially sworn into their positions. Followed by a Presentation and Public Information Announcement by Hybrid Energy LLC. with a presentation on Renewable Energy.

The Consent Agenda includes the approval of the proposed meeting minutes of the meeting that took place on February 28, the approval of City of Crookston Bills and Disbursements in the amount of $524,554.86, and the Regular Agenda of the Crookston Housing and Economic Development Authority (CHEDA) meeting on Tuesday, March 15. It will also include the resolutions to approve the Cash Farm Lease Property at the Crookston Sports Center, partial payment and Design Services of two 30,000-Gallon Filter Pressure Vessels to Classic Protective Coating, INC., the payment to KLM Engineering INC. for Design Services regarding pressure vessel filter tanks, and approving candidates Ellie Koepp for the Crookston Visitor’s Bureau board, and Andrea Brekken for the Park amd Recreations Board.

The Regular Agenda will begin with the approval of donations from the Crookston Baseball Association, the lease for the Crookston Sports Center and Blue Line Club, the Execution of Satisfaction for Rehabilitation Loan Program Flexible Installment Loan Note and Rehabilitation Loan Program Mortgage & Deferred Loan Repayment Agreement and Mortgage on behalf of Rosetta J LaRochelle. The next items on the Regular Agenda are the approval of upgrades to Karn Field Stadium Lights & Electric Control Panel, the purchases of two parcels of land forfeited to the State of Minnesota, and the approval of the new City of Crookston Redistricting Ward Boundaries.

The Council will then call for a public hearing with respect to amending the City Code Chapter 11 entitled “Ward Boundaries” where they will take any questions or concerns on the new Ward Boundaries. Then they will introduce an ordinance of the City of Crookston, amending the city code changing section 11.01: “Ward Boundaries.” The final item on the Regular Agenda will be to approve the contract and appointment of Interim City Administrator Charles “Corky” Reynolds.
