CROOKSTON CITY COUNCIL TO MEET MONDAY NIGHT TO DECLARE MAY COMMUNITY ACTION MONTH

Crookston City Council

The Crookston City Council will meet on Monday night at 7:00 p.m. inside the City Hall Council Chambers.

The Council will begin the meeting with the swearing-in of Police Officer Heath Hanson.

The meeting will then include a Proclamation by Mayor Dale Stainbrook to Declare the Month of May Community Action Month.

The Consent Agenda will include the approval of the proposed City Council Minutes from their meeting on May 9 and the approval of the City of Crookston Bills and Disbursements in the amount of $233,213.87. The Consent Agenda will also include a resolution to accept a donation of $135 from the United Methodist Women for Fire Education for School Age and to approve a 2022 Tobacco License for Minakwa Golf Course. The final items on the Consent Agenda will be to approve the Amended Agenda for the Crookston Housing & Economic Development Authority’s (CHEDA) Special Meeting on Tuesday, May 31, and the Agenda for their Regular Meeting on Tuesday, June 14.

The Regular Agenda will include a resolution approving a contract with Law Enforcement Labor Services (LELS) Local No 31 for 2022 and the detachment for a certain portion of land parcel 82.00077.03. The Regular Agenda will also include a resolution to accept a bid and awarding a contract for the 2022 Street Improvements and approve a repair to Lift station 4’s Air exchange System. It will also include a resolution to sell real property on Hunter Street. The Council will end the meeting and Regular Agenda with a discussion on Spring/Fall Clean-Up.

The next City Council meeting will take place on Monday, June 6, at 7:00 p.m. inside the City Hall Council Chambers.
