On Saturday, February 28 at approximately 2:00 p.m., the Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a snowmobile crash in Gentilly Township, northeast of Gentilly. Deputies arrived on scene along with Crookston Area Ambulance shortly thereafter and initiated life-saving measures. The operator of the snowmobile was identified as 33-year-old Cody Teie of Thief

On Friday, June 13, at approximately 5:00 AM, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence located in Section 28, Sullivan Township for a report of an active burglary. The suspect was located nude in the basement of the residence by the homeowner and proceeded to flee the residence prior to law enforcement arrival.

On April 7 at approximately 9:40 a.m., the Polk County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of a high-speed pursuit that had entered Polk County from Marshall County. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office was advised that the pursuit started in North Dakota at the Pembina Port of Entry when confronted by US Customs and Border Protections.
