A flag retirement ceremony was held on Flag Day, June14. It was sponsored by the Golden Link Senior Center and hosted by the Veteran service groups, including the American Legion Auxiliary, DAV Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary and Yellow Ribbon Committee.
The Crookston Boy Scouts performing the ceremony were Lennon Prudhomme, William Kromschroeder, and Kacee Oswalt. Their leaders were Gary Marsyla and Shawn Adams.
Community members can always drop off old and unused flags to the Golden Link and Polk County Government Center.
